Overview
Jarrod Bannister has soared from his sixth in the javelin at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, to gain a first national senior title, selection for the Osaka World Championships, and rocket into Olympic medal calculations by hurling the javelin 89.02m to win the Australian title in February - a mark that still has him at the dizzying height of the 2008 world rankings.
Being under the guidance of the legendary Uwe Hohn; a man who’s launching efforts caused the IAAF to redesign the javelin for the safety of other stadium users, is undoubtedly going to make Jarrod Bannister’s first Olympic experience a highly memorable one. |
